Dutch Steam engine museum

Dutch Steam engine museum

A former steam pumping station by the IJsselmeer houses the Nederlands Stoommachinemuseum. This museum in Medemblik is the ideal place for discovering what can be accomplished with water and fire!
During steam days, the kettle is fired up, allowing all the machines to run. You’ll hear the steam engines huff and puff, feel the heat and smell the oil. The museum has the largest collection of working steam engines under one roof. But the collection continues outside as well.
